We're thrilled to announce the two days successful completion of our "Child Protection, PSEA-Protection from Sexual Abuse, and Reporting Mechanism" training, conducted as part of the "Consolidation and Expansion of ECW(Transition in Paktika)" Project, implemented by WYFAO-Women and Youth Future Assist Organization and funded by UNICEF.
From April 27 to April 28, 2024, in Markaz sharan, Yousafkhil and Sarhawza Districts of Paktika province, Afghanistan, our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to design, deliver, and seamlessly coordinate with local authorities PED and DEDs to ensure the smooth implementation of this vital project.
Together, we've equipped 167 teachers, head teachers, parents of students, SMS members, PED and DED officials, and hub school teachers with essential knowledge and skills to safeguard children, uphold protection mechanisms, and protect them from any sexual exploitation and abuse. We've also emphasized the importance of reporting these cases for further assessment and protection response purposes.
WYFAO closely collaborates with UNICEF to enhance the capacity of stakeholders and increase awareness of child protection and safeguarding purposes, ensuring a brighter, safer future for children in Paktika province.
