Child protection is a general phrase used to cover ideologies, norms, policies, and practices designed to shield children from malicious and unintended harm. In the present situation, it relates to WYFAO's obligation to ensure that its personnel, operations, and programs do not endanger or put children at risk of damage or abuse, and that any concerns the organization may have regarding the security of children within the activities and programs in which they participate are informed to the relevant authorities.

Every kid has the right to be free from all types of abuse, exploitation, and violence. Therefore, it is the obligation of WYFAO to guarantee the safety of children in all of its projects, activities, and policies. This implies that employees do not pose a risk to children and that program, policies, and practices can be created in a way that supports the safety of children.
