Job Description:
Technical Duties
Provide training to trainers and teachers in the ‘Core Package” of WYFAO to build capacity and improve teaching and training quality for the MoE and WYFAO staff.
Monitor and evaluate training and classroom performance of individuals documenting progress and continued needs through observation forms and planning extra training when necessary.
Create new or revise training modules when feedback from trainees indicates changes or additions are required to ensure greater comprehension and transfer of knowledge.
Work with the education Coordinator to integrate psychosocial knowledge into training modules in Core Package.
Visit classrooms on a weekly basis to assist with ongoing research support teachers and model observation techniques for trainers in training to experientially build capacity.
Maintain activities within the project budget and plan at the beginning of projects for quarterly expenses.
Complete monthly reports and documentation of activities in a timely manner.
Ensure that strong and regular coordination takes place between the Education sector and all concerned external and internal stakeholders
Collaborate with partner organizations through meetings fora and conferences
Any other related task that assigned by the line manager
Job Requirements:
Experience Required
Three years’ experience in development and implementation of educational programs or teacher training.
Strong training skills preferably for MoE teachers.
Knowledge of the value of education in Islam major features of each stage of the child development and the current trends of education in Afghanistan.
Knowledge of the local community structure dynamics and development.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Pashto and Dari.
Ability to frequently travel to the program communities in the districts. This position requires travelling to the field on a daily basis.
