About Women and Youth Future Assist Organization:

Women & Youth Future Assist (WYFAO) is a non-profiting, non–governmental and non–political organization that is mainly involved in humanitarian and developmental activities and serves the people in need. WYFAO was founded back in 2016 by a group of young Afghan professionals with high spirit of helping and shaping lives in Afghanistan. WYFAO was established to play a prominent role in addressing the actual needs of poor people and enable all Afghans speak for their rights and have an enabling environment for their development and prosperity.

 

Job Description:

Job Summary: The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer is in charge of creating, implementing, and overseeing the MEAL system of the organization's activities. This position makes sure that the project is properly evaluated and monitored, and that the lessons learnt help to improve the program.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

 

  1. MEAL System Development:
  • Design and implement a comprehensive MEAL system that aligns with program goals and objectives.
  • Develop tools, indicators, and data collection methodologies for effective monitoring and evaluation.

 

  1. Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Manage all aspects of data collection, including focus group discussions, surveys, and interviews.
  • Conduct an analysis of the gathered data to identify trends, insights, and suggestions for program enhancement.

 

  1. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Create periodic and one-time reports on the performance and progress of the program.
  • Keep a clean database of program information and reports.

 

  1. Accountability and Feedback Mechanisms:
  • Establish and manage mechanisms for collecting feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that feedback is documented, analyzed, and incorporated into program decision-making.

 

  1. Learning and Knowledge Sharing:
  • To encourage a learning culture among program staff, facilitate learning events and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  •  Share lessons learned and best practices to help with program development.
  1. Capacity Building:
  • Provide program employees and partners with training and assistance on tasks associated with MEALs.
  • Increase the ability of field teams to efficiently collect and manage data.
  1. Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular program evaluations and assessments;

• Ensure that programs follow quality standards and best practices in MEAL.

 

Job Requirements:

Experience/ Education.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Statistics.
  • Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, and data analysis in the context of international development or humanitarian programs.
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or statistical software).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Knowledge of MEAL frameworks and best practices in the humanitarian and development sectors.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in Pashto and Dari; strong knowledge of English is highly required.
