Job Description:
Job Summary: The PSEA Focal Point's major goals are to build and maintain a strong PSEA framework, spread awareness of the issue, and encourage a sexual exploitation and abuse-free culture within WYFA. The focal point will look into and address claims, ensure compliance with PSEA standards and procedures, and offer support to survivors.
Roles & Responsibilities
Developing policies and procedures:
Create and update PSEA guidelines, policies, and practices in accordance with global standards and best practices.
Make sure that all pertinent organizational policies and programs incorporate PSEA considerations.
Training and Awareness
Programs for staff, volunteers, and partners are designed and delivered to raise PSEA awareness.
Encourage a zero-tolerance policy for sexual exploitation and abuse within the company.
Incident Reporting and Response:
Create a mechanism that is both private and easily accessible for reporting PSEA issues.
Plan the prompt investigation of and reaction to PSEA complaints in accordance with established protocols.
Assure that survivors' rights and needs are honored by offering them support and care.
Monitoring and Assessment:
Report on PSEA compliance and activities on a regular basis.
Coordinating and promoting:
To stay informed about best practices and new issues, communicate with stakeholders, outside organizations, and PSEA networks.
Promote PSEA throughout the organization and in communications with partners.
Capacity Development
Enhance employee and partner capacity to effectively avoid and handle PSEA occurrences.
Conduct PSEA evaluations and audits both internally and externally.
Documentation and Record-keeping:
Keep thorough, private records of all PSEA-related actions, inquiries, and case management.
Reporting:
Report PSEA-related issues as necessary to senior management and the appropriate authorities.
Job Requirements:
Experience/ Education.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Human Rights, International Development).
Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in PSEA management within humanitarian or development organizations.
Strong knowledge of international PSEA standards and guidelines.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training facilitation skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to gender equality and the promotion of a safe and inclusive work environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in written and spoken English, Dari and Pashto.
