Women & Youth Future Assist (WYFAO) is a non-profiting, non–governmental and non–political organization that is mainly involved in humanitarian and developmental activities and serves the people in need. WYFAO was founded back in 2016 by a group of young Afghan professionals with high spirit of helping and shaping lives in Afghanistan. WYFAO was established to play a prominent role in addressing the actual needs of poor people and enable all Afghans speak for their rights and have an enabling environment for their development and prosperity.

 

Job Description:

Job Summary: The Finance Officer's main responsibility is to oversee and manage the organization's finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance, in order to assure accuracy, precision, and long-term financial viability.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Finance Knowledge

  • Finalize monthly Bank reconciliation and submit them for review to senior finance staff in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of different financial reports for office headquarter, Donor and for Afghanistan tax authorities.
  • Bookkeeping and vouchers preparation on daily basis.
  • Managing records and receipts.
  • Preparation and reconciliation of transaction and liaising with the auditors.
  • Cash Book and General Ledger
  • Petty Cash Maintenance
  • Managing and oversee accounts payable/Receivable, Cash disbursement to achieve reporting deadline.
  • Cash Counting on weekly basis
  • Producing monthly, quarterly and annually financial reports, analysis for the various programs and management team.
  • Developing and implementing improvement to financial process and procedure.
  • Preparing external Auditing.
  • Preparing of Financial Statement
  • Preparing and administering Payroll to employees.
  • Monitored all bank deposit and payment.
  • Reconciling Daily, Monthly and Yearly transactions.
  • To regulate and finalize the yearly taxes affairs between Organization/ Company and government taxes department (MoF).
  • Preparing activity plan (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly & Annually).

 

Job Requirements:

 

Experience/ Education.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or any related field
  • Proven experience as a Finance Officer or similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or NGO.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in financial software (Quilbooks)  and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, Dari and Pashto.
