Job Description:
Job Summary: The primary objective of the Education and Development Project Manager is to plan, implement, and oversee education and development projects, ensuring their successful execution, alignment with organizational goals, and positive impact on target communities.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Planning and Design:
In charge of overseeing the creation of project proposals, which include work plans, budgets, and needs analyses.
Make sure project designs take best practices into account and address the unique requirements of target populations.
Project Implementation:
Manage the execution of initiatives in education and development, including coordinating people, resources, and activities.
Track the development of the project and quickly and effectively resolve any problems.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Create and maintain strong connections with the project's collaborators, local leaders, elected officials, and other key stakeholders.
Participate in project planning, execution, and decision-making with stakeholders.
Resource Management
Control project budgets, purchases, and financial management to guarantee effective resource use.
Effectively manage the resources and assets of the project.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
Create and deploy solid M&E frameworks to monitor the effects and results of your projects.
To evaluate a project's success and pinpoint areas that want improvement, conduct periodical assessments and reviews.
Capacity Development
Support project personnel, partners, and beneficiaries with training and capacity-building.
Encourage the members of the project team to grow professionally.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and deliver to donors and stakeholders high-quality project reports, including narrative and financial reports.
Ensure that project records are accurate and include best practices and documentation of lessons learned.
Community Engagement:
Encourage community ownership and engagement in project activities.
Convene community gatherings, solicit input, and organize awareness campaigns.
Quality Control:
Ensure that education and development interventions adhere to ethical principles, best practices, and high standards.
Job Requirements:
Experience/ Education.
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Education, or a related field.
Proven experience in project management, particularly in education and community development.
Strong knowledge of education systems, development principles, and project management best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) methodologies and data analysis.
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
Commitment to gender equality, inclusivity, and community empowerment.
Familiarity with relevant policies and regulations in the education and development sector.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in written and spoken English, Dari and Pashto.
