About WYFAO:

WYFAO (Women & Youth Future Assist Organization) is a non-profiting, non-governmental and non-political organization that is mainly involved in humanitarian and developmental activities and serves people in deprivation. WYFAO was founded back in 2016 by a group of young Afghan professionals with a high spirit of helping and shaping lives in Afghanistan. WYFAO was established to play a prominent role in addressing the actual needs of needy people and enable all Afghans to converse for their rights and have an enabling environment for their development and prosperity.

Nutrition Consular Responsibilities:

• Providing nutrition consultation and treatment services for target population.
• Responsible for accurate data collection from outpatients under his or her care
• Screening of under-five children and PLW for nutrition status.
• Conduct growth monitoring.
• Providing counseling on breast feeding complementary feeding
• Proper maintaining of all relevant registers.
• Distribution of food ration and RUTF for eligible clients.
• Preparing timely request for foodstuff.
• Referral of SAM Children with complication to TFU for hospitalization in DH and PH.
• Actively update his knowledge on current best practice and national guidelines
• Participate in the development of professional, effective and appropriate Nutrition programming, including direct individual and group counseling support.
• To fill all relevant forms related to clients such as Case intake form authorization letter and consent form

Requirements.

• A diploma in Nutrition counselling or received nutrition initial training Counselling, or from a recognized entity
• At least 2 years’ experience of work as a clinical Nutrition counsellor
• Technical Tasks:
• To be tactful and having strong interpersonal skills and communication.
• Keeping all records confidential
• To insure confidentiality including all client records are safe and secure at the session
• Attend all relevant meetings requested by supervisor relevant to the project goals.
• Assist in other duties at the community mobilization requested by supervisor.
• Maintaining close relationship with other partner organizations working with in the districts and provinces
• Good report writing and communication skills
• A team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Fluency in spoken and written Dari and Pashtu is a requirement. English Language skills is a plus point
