About WYFAO:

WYFAO (Women & Youth Future Assist Organization) is a non-profiting, non-governmental and non-political organization that is mainly involved in humanitarian and developmental activities and serves people in deprivation. WYFAO was founded back in 2016 by a group of young Afghan professionals with a high spirit of helping and shaping lives in Afghanistan. WYFAO was established to play a prominent role in addressing the actual needs of needy people and enable all Afghans to converse for their rights and have an enabling environment for their development and prosperity.

Vaccinator Responsibilities:

• Conducting and outreach vaccination activities according to NEPI/MOPH Policy.
• Determines appropriate vaccine type and dose volume appropriate for each client.
• Prepares site and administers IM or IC vaccine per standard protocol.
•  Disposes of sharps in appropriate receptacle.
• Documents vaccination on clinic record and immunization card.
• Recognize, respond to, and alert emergency medical personnel of possible post vaccination reactions.
• Switches functions with vaccine preparers as part of a two-person team.
• As vaccine preparer, will pre-fill syringes a few at a time, follow a strict protocol for labeling and handling prefilled syringes and keep supplies stocked.
• Responsible for entering vaccine lot numbers and other required information onto patient.
• Immunization Card.
• Consider attending a pre-event in-depth training.
• Other tasks and responsibility given by the head of clinic.
• Outreach activities according to national Immunization standards.
• Referring mothers of reproductive age and Childs to the health facility for necessary MCH care.
• Conducting health education and counseling according to health facility plane.
• Safe injection administration.
• Positive feedback for the clients for next visit.
• Reporting AEFI.
• Reporting of vaccination Data,( tally sheet, R Book, Monthly R form).
• Recording of monitoring chart monthly basis.

Job Requirement:

• 1. At least 12th Grade education.
• 2. Experience in the relevant immunization field (At least one year)
• 3. Good knowledge of written and spoken Dari and Pashto is desirable.
• 4. NGO experience – Desirable
• 5. Organizational skills.
• 6. Effective communicator.
• 7. Be able to work on own initiative to achieve results
